Meet Penny

“Penny can take the toughest critic or non-believer, and find a way to reach them on an individual level to get them to ‘step-up’ to the challenge she is facilitating them through.”

I can list all kinds of interesting information about me here but what you want to know is ‘is she good at what she does?’. Yes, very. To see what my clients say go to the Facilitation, Leadership or Communication pages for real case examples.

Who am I?
I’m results-orientated, individualistic and live personal responsibility; a proactive hard worker. I have a high integrity radar and am committed to enabling us all to be able to treat others with respect and dignity whilst being realistic and goal driven.

I’m quite simply passionate about enabling people and organisations to perform to their best.

To this end, I’m a dedicated life-long learner, particularly curious in all things about psychology and human behaviour and consistently seeking to refine my craft.

And I’m full of paradigms: analytical and intuitive, creative and disciplined, feel the flow and plan everything, big picture and strategic yet task driven, gregarious and dramatic and an introverted deep thinker. Black and white and many shades of grey! Oh, and I also have a rather dry humour which I bring to all my work and love of things rather bizarre and abstract.

Want some background?
I started life in the UK, coming to NZ in 1997. After gaining my degree, I specialised in drama therapy and worked with those facing addictions and mental health issues. I have drama qualifications up to Teacher level.

Next step - I undertook a post-graduate in education and worked in various situations including a hospital school. Undertook further study in adult learning, behavioural sciences and psychology. Worked with adults in training situations before moving into a role as Head of Education and Training for a large organisation. After several years and aware of coming to NZ, I took various contracts to further extend my experiences.

In NZ I took a role with The Human Rights Commission and worked and networked across many disciplines, organisations and industries. From here I took a few contracts, which over time has developed into an extensive network of word-of-mouth business and reputation.

All of this knowledge has helped me to understand blocks and fears that prevent us living our full potential and why people underperform at work.

I am always growing and developing and have become accredited in many useful tools for people and business, including further study.
